OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA – The American Legion Department of Oklahoma has presented Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma, LLC, its 2017 “Employer of Veterans Award”.
The American Legion honored the Oklahoma City company with the statewide award during its July 14, 2018 annual convention. Tisha Tate, DRG vice president of commercial development, was on hand to accept the Award, which recognizes employers who excel in their employment of veteran.
A leading global aerospace defense contractor based in Oklahoma City, DRG has a long list of prestigious recognition and awards including in 2011 the U.S. Department of Defense, Above and Beyond Award. DRG was recognized in 2016 with the Department of Defense Pro Patria Award and was a semi‐Finalist for Secretary of Defense Freedom Award. In 2017, the company was also awarded Cherokee Nation’s Business Community Leadership Award and Journal Record’s Beacon Award for Philanthropic Impact
The American Legion, chartered in 1919, is the United States’ largest wartime veterans service organization, whose mission is to advocate patriotism, support fellow servicemembers and veterans and provide opportunities for youth.
