History of DRG
Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma, LLC (DRG) was founded in 2002 by Phil G. Busey Sr. That same year, the company began providing subcontractor training support services to Boeing for the United States Air Force E-3 AWACS Mission Crew Training Program. Phil’s wife, Cathy, stepped in early to assist him in managing the business. As DRG continued to provide quality services to Boeing and the USAF, the company began to grow with more subcontracts and efforts. The Buseys’ youngest son, Brian, joined DRG in 2004 and their oldest son, Philip, joined in 2005. Both sons have worked alongside Phil since they joined and have played integral parts in the company’s historic growth.

DRG was awarded its first prime contract in 2008 in continued support of the USAF’s E-3 AWACS Mission Crew Training contract. Between 2010 and 2013, the company drastically expanded its capabilities and began expanding operations overseas. DRG had gained a reputation for reliable and dependable training-based services with excellent contract performance. The company began operating several prime contracts with the USAF and multiple subcontracts supporting many large aircraft manufacturers and defense contractors.

In 2016, the company moved into its new headquarters to accommodate the massive growth that continues today. DRG has expanded operations across different branches of the military and various federal agencies. The company’s service lines also have grown to include device relocations, staff augmentations, kit and modification installation as well as global interim contractor support.

In 2023, Phil G. Busey Sr. transitioned to founder and chairman and named Philip as president and Brian as CEO. Today, DRG is regarded as one of the top-tier aerospace defense contractors based in Oklahoma. With award-winning operations around the world and ever-expanding capabilities, the company’s growth continues.
